BAY AREA RUNNING / Community

Belong before you have a race goal.

Who Bay Area Running is for, what participation is intended to cost, and what is available while the community is being built.

Who is welcome

AI and tech workers are the starting audience. Friends, partners, students, people between roles, and people in other fields are welcome too. There is no employer verification, company-email requirement, or qualifying race time.

Costs and what is included

The intention is to keep casual community runs free. There is no paid membership, subscription, or checkout on this site. Race entries, transport, gear, and food are personal expenses. Any future paid offering must state its terms before signup.

What you can do today

Explore the proposed crews, read route guides, and use the fit finder to choose a starting point. There are no accounts, registrations, member benefits, reserved places, or live group messaging. A saved personal plan is not a membership application.

Participation details before launch

Each future event must publish age eligibility, accessibility information, pace expectations, and any consent requirements. This founding website is not a youth program or a promise that every route suits every participant. Choose from the confirmed event details when they exist.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

Do I have to run a marathon?

No. Social running, walking, and shorter goals are welcome. The First 100 is an optional long-term mission.

Do I need a Strava account?

No activity account, GPS watch, or social media profile is required by this website.
