Our founding mission is simple: help 100 people working in the Bay Area’s tech community finish their first marathon. Engineers, researchers, designers, founders, support teams, and everyone who makes the work happen. No qualifying pace. No employer badge required to belong.
The campaign is a goal, not a claim that 100 people have enrolled. We are building the community, crew formats, and support that can make it happen. Enrollment and verified finish tracking have not opened.
A local crew makes a big goal smaller.
Find a nearby group. Make room in your week for an easy outing. Meet someone who is learning alongside you. Then, when you are ready, choose a race and an appropriate training approach. A first 5K, a consistent month, and a confident long outing are all worth celebrating on the way.
The finish line can be at any organized full marathon. Our Golden Gate Bridge Marathon is the community’s official event, with its first edition still in planning. You do not have to wait for it or enter it to pursue the mission.
People before the number.
Rest, walking, changing your goal, and taking longer are part of the process. There is no campaign deadline and no public ranking of beginners. A relay finish is a team achievement; it is not counted as an individual full-marathon finish.
Already run a marathon? Help welcome a newcomer, plan a route, or support a future crew. The campaign focuses on first finishers, while the wider community welcomes every experience level.

Do I need to work for an AI company?
No. Tech workers are our starting audience, and friends, partners, students, and people between jobs are welcome. No company email is required.
Is enrollment open?
Not yet. You can explore a crew and make a personal plan here. This website does not reserve a place or collect campaign signups.
Do I have to finish this year?
No. There is no fixed campaign deadline. The right preparation time depends on your starting point and circumstances.
