Know the setting

The Presidio identifies the Golden Gate Promenade / Bay Trail along Crissy Field, connecting the Marina Gate area toward Fort Point. Its official page describes dirt and paved paths and lists the wider trail at 4.3 miles; that figure is not the distance of every Crissy Field outing.

Shape your outing

Choose a public access point and a turnaround using the official map. For a social run, agree on time rather than assuming everybody will cover the full trail. Longer connections need their own route check, especially when combining shoreline and inland paths.

Share the route well

The shoreline is shared by walkers, runners, and other visitors. Leave passing room and expect to slow near popular stopping places. Use the official page to check facilities and access; do not promise that every water fountain or restroom will be available.

Maps, access, and current conditions

Use the official source below for the park map, current notices, and visitor rules. This is an editorial planning guide, not turn-by-turn navigation, a measured course, or a live conditions report. Any organized club outing needs its own confirmed route and event details.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

Is this an organized group run?

No. This page is a route-planning resource. Linked crews are proposed and do not establish a date, captain, or meeting point here.

Is there a GPX or verified club distance?

No surveyed club course or GPX is provided. Use the official map and check the exact segment; trail-network lengths do not define your outing.
