Know the setting

California State Parks describes the Coastside Trail along the eastern boundary of the Half Moon Bay State Beach areas. Francis Beach is one visitor access point. The state park information is a better starting place than assuming every beach entrance connects to the same facilities.

Shape your outing

Choose the exact beach access and a turnaround on a current official map. A time-based outing leaves room to adjust for conditions and busy sections. This guide does not prescribe a continuous beach run or a route along the sand.

Share the route well

Check access, parking information, and current park notices before travel. Stay on designated paths and allow other visitors to pass. A coastside outing can become a larger time commitment than a neighborhood run, so plan the journey home as deliberately as the outward route.

Maps, access, and current conditions

Use the official source below for the park map, current notices, and visitor rules. This is an editorial planning guide, not turn-by-turn navigation, a measured course, or a live conditions report. Any organized club outing needs its own confirmed route and event details.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

Is this an organized group run?

No. This page is a route-planning resource. Linked crews are proposed and do not establish a date, captain, or meeting point here.

Is there a GPX or verified club distance?

No surveyed club course or GPX is provided. Use the official map and check the exact segment; trail-network lengths do not define your outing.
